The Biritish Museum is opening a blockbuster exhibition this November, where visitors can discover the world of ancient Assyria through the life and legacy of its last great ruler, King Ashurbanipal. I am Ashurbanipal: King of the World, King of Assyria journeys back to ancient Iraq in the 7th century BC, when Ashurbanipal became the most powerful person on earth.

Over 200 extraordinary objects from all corners of the empire reveal how one of the greatest Assyrian monarchs stamped an indelible mark on the history of the world. The British Museum’s world-renowned collection of Assyrian treasures will be complemented by key loans from across the globe.

Sysco are pleased to have supported the installation of the audiovisual exhibits which complement the vast collection of artefacts on display.

A fantastic 5* rating and hugely complimentary review by The Times' art critic Rachel Campbell-Johnston, she states 'What can you do but gaze astounded? This is just a fabulous show. It is not just the facts but the feelings of almost three millennia ago that are conjured afresh.'

I am Ashurbanipal: King of the world, King of Assyria is on display 8 November 2018 - 24 February 2019
