As part of International Women’s Day, we are celebrating and recognising the achievements of the incredible women here at the Sysco team, as well all the women in the wider AV community. There are sometimes preconceptions that the audio visual world is a male dominated field, however we’re seeing a dramatic shift in the increasing number of women making their mark in the AV industry.
 
Over the past few years Sysco has welcomed many faces to the team, during which we've seen new creative ideas and positive deveopments woven into the fabric of our core. Those who have joined, have been on quite an adventure with the business, and have continued progressing on their journey for the past several years, despite difficult times faced. We're fortunate to have strength in our projects team with Nikki Freer, PM who has overseen some impressive and complex installations, powering through any obstacles to deliver the highest quality visitor experiences for our clients. In our fast-paced Business Support team we have Chrissi Pinnock, Sarah Knapp and Gill Barber who multitask all of the procurement, planning and logistics under high pressure conditions and difficult deadlines (yet bring humour to the office every day!) Lizzie Bachelor, our Finance Director is a vital cog in the Sysco machine ensuring that every financial aspect of the business all adds up. These are just a handful of the many amazing women that have contributed to the driving force behind the business, and we have others who are only just beginning their journey with the team.

Last year, our very own Libby Hooper took the reigns as Sysco’s new Managing Director and is now leading the team in its new chapter of growth and development. These significant changes help to pave the way toward raising awareness of the exciting opportunities available for future generations of women, who are wanting to explore careers in the evolving world of AV. So today we celebrate the women that are helping to forge new paths and open doors on amazing prospects yet to come.
